Jonathan is an experienced wedding and event film maker and photographer based on Long Island, NY. He has been shooting weddings, bar mitzvahs, large and small family events and parties for more than 20 years. He began working in the wedding industry in the 90’s as a teenager. He started out at as an assistant, then moved into photography where he learned much about the craft, composition, lighting, and most importantly the type of professionalism that comes with providing great service. After dedicating about 12 years to photography, he took his expertise and moved into the art of filmmaking where he had the privilege to learn and and train alongside many of the leading masters in both fields learning more about lighting, audio, and editing techniques. These paths throughout his career have granted Jonathan numerous opportunities to work with some of the most recognized and successful companies and artists the industry; giving him a unique creative approach to all his work.

Jonathan has documented hundreds if not over a thousand weddings at this point already, and has worked at virtually every wedding venue on Long Island from backyards to Mansions across Montauk to NYC, neighboring states and beyond. Some of his favorite places include Larkfield Manor, Giorgio’s, Flowerfields, the Riviera, Bourne Mansion, Raphael Vineyards, FoxHollow, Glen Cove Mansion, Smithtown Landing, StoneBridge, Eastwind, and many others. He has a natural ability to capture and highlight the beauty of your special day with a level of talent and consistency that continues to impress and please all his clients. His videos can be light and airy, dramatic and intense, they can breathe or they can hit! All videos are conceived during production where the entire experience is construed through the prism of Jonathan’s artistic process. He strives to provide a calming, helpful, and grounding energy that creates a positive and uplifting atmosphere to make capturing each event an easy and smooth process.

Jonathan also prides himself on being with his clients throughout the entire process. This creates a more personalized working relationship and beautiful emotional films and photos that are cared about for each client. Jonathan is the one person you meet that shoots, edits, and delivers his work to the client directly. Unlike other studios that have 1 person sell you a video that is shot by a 2nd person, a 3rd person is sent to shoot your event while yet another 4th person produces the final product, Jonathan does it all himself! Most of his career he has been the 3rd and/or 4th person that the wedding factory type companies sell but he’s stepped away from this and no longer available through other studios even though they will continue to sell his work to get your business.

Jonathan accomplishes his work by using modern video and audio equipment as well as tripods, monopods, drones, recorders, gimbals, and other camera devices to give each film a cinematic look with beautiful transitions, clear audio, and consistent lighting and coloring. When all this comes together, Jonathan is proud to provide one of a kind, customized, and timeless films to each of his inspiring clients.
